Back in 2018, one of the biggest surprise hits was A Simple Favor. The thriller that starred Anna Kendrick and Black Lively became a well reviewed hit. Rumors that director Paul Feig wanted to do a sequel had been around for a while, but today it was made official.

In a report by The Hollywood Reporter, it was confirmed that Feig will be reteaming with both Kendrick and Lively for the sequel. Other characters from the original film, including Henry Golding and Andrew Rannells, are returning for this film as well.
Amazon MGM confirmed the film would begin production this spring, and it appears development began back in 2022. It looks like this film will take place during a wedding in Italy as a murder occurs, but other than that, there are few plot details.
This will surely be a welcome surprise for fans of the 2018 film, which proved to be a very twisty, provocative thriller.
The film has been confirmed to debut exclusively on Prime Video, although no release date has officially ben set.
