With the last couple years of successes, it’s no surprise video games have become Hollywood’s new gold mine to run to for adaptation. With a plethora of projects already in development, it’s no surprise that one of the more recent hits has entered full production.

Earlier today, CBS Studios announced The cast for Among Us, the viral hit indie game that swept platforms such at Twitch a few years ago. The animated comedy has been in development for over a year and with the cast announced today, it appears to be taking a big step forward.
The main four cast members announced:

- Randall Park (WandaVision) as Red
- Ashley Johnson(The Last of Us) as Purple
- Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) as Orange
- Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings) as Green
While no specific plot details have been given, it seems to follow the plot of the games. One person on the spaceship is an alien imposter out to kill all of the crewmembers, while the others need to figure out who it is. Treachery and madness ensue.
The show is currently being created by Owen Dennis with animation studio Titmouse.
The production has been a collaboration between CBS and Innersloth, the developer of the popular game. No streaming platform or release information has been announced yet.
