Earlier this week, Amazon gave audiences a new look at next month’s streaming series Fallout. Based on the Bethesda Game Studios franchise of the same name, this series features survivors in a post-nuclear war Los Angeles struggling for survival. Watch the trailer below:
The trailer features plenty of glimpses of the story being told and the world that is similar from the games, even if it doesn’t directly follow the storylines of them. There’s also a plethora of winks and nods to the series fans are sure to point out.
The series stars Ella Purnell as a survivor who escapes her “vault” and discovers the outside world is not as hospitable as the world underground she knew. Walton Goggins co-stars in the series as well.

The trailer also features plenty of crazy and violent moments, and it’s already clear Amazon has no problem letting the blood and guts fly in this very R rated series. There’s also a fair amount of comedy as well, showing that this is not a show that is going to take itself seriously at all.
It was also revealed that all episodes will be dropping April 11, 2024. This is an increasing trend with streamers, including many who have stuck with weekly releases for their original series, of returning to the more traditional binge model.

Fallout is created by Jonathan Nolan, from Westworld fame. Lisa Joy is also on board as an executive producer.
