It’s been a nearly two year wait for the next season of HBO’s epic fantasy saga House of the Dragon. With the trailer premiering last year, HBO and Warner Discovery execs teased an “early summer” release window for the Game of Thrones spinoff.

Now, we finally have a month. At the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom conference earlier this week, Warner Discovery announced that the series was indeed coming in June, while declining to give an exact date.
Eager fans will be waiting to see the next season, one that promises a giant war between the two sides of the Targyrean family torn apart during last season’s shocking end. It became one of HBO’s most watched series in history in just its first season and has been one of 2024’s most anticipated TV shows.

The series follows the ruling Targyrean house as it struggles with its own civil war, set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. It boasts a large ensemble cast that includes Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans, and more.
