Fire and Blood Returns Next Summer

HBO has officially unveiled the first look at season 2 of their hit show, House of the Dragon. In a statement on X earlier today, HBO confirmed the show’s first official trailer is releasing tomorrow during Brazil’s CCXP Expo.

Details have been few since last year’s blockbuster debut season for the highly anticipated Game of Thrones prequel, that saw both fans and those less than enthused about the original series’ ending return to Westeros.

The new posters shown give us our first looks at Olivia Cooke and Emma D’Arcy’s return, with the fiery backdrop teasing the war that is going to be unleashed. Last season ended with a shot of D’Arcy’s Rhaenrya Targaryen angry and ready for revenge, and the first looks tease it’s going to get even more brutal.

Outside of a summer 2024 release date, HBO did not give a more firm timeframe. More details are expected during tomorrow’s panel.
